Our yurtel is based in the perfect location in the heart of the Golden Circle in Southern Iceland – just 5 minutes drive from the Gullfoss waterfall and the great Geysir. We can help you plan and book visits to many nearby attractions and experiences, simply enquire when you contact us to make a booking.
Nearby Haukadalur is a geothermal area home to the great Geysir - the first spouting water spring to be named - from which all other geysirs get their name. Strokkur is the main attraction erupting reliably every 5 to 10 minutes with to an impressive 30 metre height. When you stay at náttura yúrtel you can visit the Geysir in the morning or evening with hardly anyone around and often find yourself alone there.
Staying at náttúra yurtel is the ideal location for visiting the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall - just 5 minutes away by car. Beat the crowds by having an early breakfast and getting there before the day trippers from Reykjavik. Gullfoss is known locally as the 'Golden Waterfall', due to the way it cascades into a deep gorge with tremendous force.
The northern lights are one of Iceland’s most beautiful assets - a magical phenomenon in the sky, and possible to see for about eights months a year, from early September to late April.
For those after both adventure and relaxation there is lots to do nearby. Take a horse-ride from the farm next to náttúra yurtel - the Icelandic horse is a unique breed which is fiercely protected. Rides are available from 20 minutes to a full day. If it's a water-based adventure you're after then white water rafting is a 20 minute drive away. Or why not take a snowmobile excursion on the Langjokul glacier? Or simply relax in geothermal springs - Iceland’s oldest swimming pool, known as the Secret Lagoon, which is just 30 minutes away.
