Welcome to náttúra yurtel. Built in Mongolia, our yurts are a glamping experience in the heart of the Golden Circle, specifically developed to cope with the Icelandic climate. The intimate site consists of ten yurts, two large communal yurts and a separate toilet and shower block. All designed to bring together a unique comfortable and affordable experience.
Wander barefoot in your yurt with the warmth of underfloor heating. Watch the colours of the Icelandic sky. Or share a drink with friends in the shared lounge yurt, while you relax and wait for the Geysir to erupt in the distance.
Each spacious yurt is 6m in diameter, has electricity, a plumbed toilet, a sink with hot and cold water, and comfortable chairs. Underfloor heating provides additional comfort to the glamping experience, as does the small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
Bed options are flexible. The standard configuration is twin share but there are also options for double beds. A number of the yurts can accommodate three people comfortably. For larger groups – including families with small children - please contact us to discuss your requirements. Linen and towels are provided but you may wish to pack your own slippers as all yurts are shoe-free areas.
The communal facility includes two large yurts with a breakfast room and lounge. Socialise with friends and fellow travellers - relax, unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The large glass doors in these communal yurts take in the view towards Geysir, a view which changes constantly depending on the weather and season.
In the height of summer the 24 hour daylight means you can stay up into the early hours of the morning. And in winter the communal yurts are the ideal place to sit and watch the northern lights.
Located in sight of Geysir and only a short drive, horse ride or walk from the incredible waterfalls of Gullfoss, nátúrra yurtel has one of the best locations in all of Iceland.
Staying at the yurtel enables visiting these sites at the best time of day, and before the day-trippers arrive from Reykjavik. In the summer months, when the sun does not set, many guests choose to visit Gullfoss after dinner. Being the only people at Iceland’s greatest waterfall around midnight is an unforgettable experience.
Each yurt has its own toilet and sink with hot water. Also on site there are four single showers, two toilets and a disability access toilet and shower. A simple icelandic breakfast is included and other meals are available on request (minimum numbers required). Parking is also available on site.
It is possible to book out the whole of the yurtel for special occasions and events. Please get in touch to find out details.
Each accommodation yurt on our spacious site is named with an Icelandic symbol, and is set at the end of its own pathway.
The two large communal yurts are furnished with comfy sofas and have plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. Check-in takes place in these yurts and breakfast is also served here. Note that drinks and alcohol are not currently available to purchase on site, so it's best to bring your own - make sure you take advantage of the excellent value duty free shopping on arrival at Keflavik airport.
